We are seeking a highly organized, personable, and proactive Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact, you are the heartbeat of our office—ensuring smooth patient flow, managing day-to-day administrative tasks, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Experience & Scheduling
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival and manage smooth check-in and check-out procedures.
- Answer incoming phone calls, respond to emails, and professionally handle patient inquiries.
- Efficiently schedule appointments and optimize the providers' daily calendars to ensure seamless patient flow.
- Coordinate closely with dental assistants and providers to maintain excellent patient care and timing.
Insurance, Billing & Records
- Verify patient dental insurance eligibility and benefits accurately prior to scheduled appointments.
- Collect patient copays, process daily billing, and accurately manage patient accounts.
- Maintain, update, and organize digital patient records.
Office Operations & Compliance
- Monitor daily office workflows and actively suggest or implement process improvements.
- Manage and track inventory for office and clinical supplies.
- Liaise professionally with vendors, insurance companies, and external service providers.
- Uphold strict compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and all other state and federal regulatory healthcare standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required:
- Bilingual Fluency: Complete fluency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken) is required to assist our diverse patient base.
- Strong customer service skills with a warm, welcoming, and professional demeanor.
- Excellent communication, multi-tasking, and time-management abilities.
- High attention to detail, specifically regarding scheduling accuracy and data entry.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience working at a front desk within a dental or medical office setting.
- Working knowledge of Open Dental software.
- Familiarity with dental terminology and common dental insurance verification protocols.
- Basic understanding or working knowledge of clinical workflows/dental equipment is a plus.
