Elementary School Special Education Paraprofessional (7 hrs/day) - Leave Replacement Substitute
2026-2027 School Year
- Temporary / Leave Replacement Position Running September 1, 2026, through on or about January 29, 2027.
Paraprofessional for special education students ranging in age from preschool to grade 8 with skills including, but not limited to:
- Excellent communication skills
- Implementing modifications and accommodations provided by the special education teacher per the IEP
- Reinforce lessons by reviewing material one-on-one and in small groups with students
- Experience working with individuals who display challenging behavior
- Behavior support which includes physical management (training provided upon hire)
- Consultation with the district’s board-certified behavioral analyst will be provided
- Reinforce teacher instruction
- Carry out behavioral plans
- Collect data on student achievement and behavior
- Assists with grooming, dressing, and/or toileting needs of students as needed
Terms of Employment:
- Temporary / Leave Replacement Position Running September 1, 2026, through on or about January 29, 2027.
- 7 hours per day following school calendar
- Position is subject to the conditions of the Manasquan Education Association collective bargaining agreement.
- Annual Salary Range: $35,742 to $36,908.
- General Description of Benefits:
- Employee-only medical, prescription, and dental benefits subject to requirements and employee contributions under Chapter 44, as applicable, or payment for insurance waiver ($2,500 single).
