This is a full-time, on-site role located in Edinburgh, IN, for an Injection Tool Maker. The Injection Tool Maker will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and modification of injection molds and tooling equipment. Day-to-day tasks include fabricating and machining mold components, conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting tooling issues, and ensuring that tools meet quality standards. The individual will collaborate with the engineering and production teams to maintain optimal equipment functionality and support production goals.
- Experience in tool and die making, including knowledge of injection mold construction, repair, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in machining techniques such as CNC machining, grinding, milling, and EDM operations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files.
- Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting mold and tooling issues, ensuring high-quality results.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to adhere to health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with various hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Relevant vocational training or certification in Tool and Die making or a related field. Apprenticeship experience is a plus.
- Previous experience in plastic injection molding or manufacturing is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and effective communication skills.
