- Holds a Standard New Jersey Certificate - School Social Worker or School Psychologist
- Holds a valid New Jersey mental health license such as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD)
- Has experience in working with elementary and middle school students
- Demonstrates the knowledge and understanding of child and adolescent psychopathology and its impact on learning
- Demonstrates effective communication skills
- To provide intensive school based individual and group counseling
- To gather and review data to determine building specific needs as it relates to pupils' social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- To develop and monitor behavior support plans for students on their caseload
- To review Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying (HIB) data and identify building specific patterns and needs to develop counseling groups
