Rate of pay: Starting at $16.00/hr.; Promote within 6 months to $19.00/hr. (once certified)
Work schedule: Full-time; 8-hour days Monday-Friday - Treatment Specialist Hours: West Side for SAFPF Males and Females are 6:30am-3:30pm. East Side for DWI and ISF Males is 8:00am-5:00pm.

Position summary: You'll be responsible for performing didactic education work within DWI, ISF and/or SAFPF Programs. Essential Responsibilities
- Provides didactic sessions according to designated curricula within the programs as needed. Presents educational and Life Skill classes to assist clients with basic education on these topics.
- Guides and assists clients in complying with facility rules and regulations. Supervises client work functions in accordance with program policies such as morning wake up routines according to established schedules.
- Monitors client behavior and reports incidents, inappropriate or unusual behaviors to appropriate treatment team staff. Notifies appropriate personnel of clients failing to comply with policies and procedures.
- Maintains client and other records regarding services provided to include workload statistics; compiles data and submits reports and related documentation as appropriate.
- Adheres to the core functions within practicum guidelines in the Texas Administrative Code 140 of Texas Health and Human Services Commission LCDC-I licensure and Texas Certification Board for the CCJP-A certification.
- Adheres to the Ethical Standards of Care for HHSC and TCB.
- Graduation from an accredited senior high school, GED, or equivalent.
- Associate’s degree in the field of psychology, sociology, counseling, social work, criminal justice or education is preferred
- Related experience is a plus
- Valid driver’s license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
- Within 180 days of employment, must have a letter of registration as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Intern (LCDC-I or CI) from the Texas Department of State Health Services or current certification as a Certified Criminal Justice Addictions Professional Applicant (CCJP-A) as approved by the Texas Certification Board of Addiction Professionals.
