Mechanical Engineer US Embassy Bangkok Thailand Secret Clearance Required Washington, District Of Columbia, United States |EngineeringOct 15, 2025 Management Systems International (MSI), a Tetra Tech Company, needs a Mechanical Engineer in Bangkok, Thailand for construction of New US Embassy Office Annex and Embassy Upgrade with State Dept. Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO). Requires a US Govt. Secret Security Clearance. This is an active position, not a proposal and you will be joining the team already on the ground. The Project $400M Design/Build New Office Annex (NOX) and Embassy Upgrade New 14-story Office Annex (NOX) will be comprised of tiered glass volumes covered in slats in order to mitigate Bangkok's hot and humid climate while maintaining views of the landscape. 39 bed Marine Security Guard Residence (MSGR) CACs (Consular and Pedestrian) 2-story Utility Building and 365 vehicle surface parking Upgrades and site improvements include: CACs (main and service), new glazing, new doors, and interior finishing Internal perimeter walls and landscaping We ask for a minimum commitment of 1 year and the project is expected to last 24-36 months. Housing and transportation allowances provided. Uplift includes 10% of base salary plus 10% COLA. Benefits include (medical, dental, vision, 30 days paid time off a year, round trip flights home) Position Description You will: Provide NEC project with full range of critical engineering, construction quality assurance, technical oversight. Perform technical inspections of mechanical work, monitor construction contractor's quality control program, and review project drawings to ensure compliance. Observe onsite construction and determine if construction elements are being installed, formed, and executed properly. Monitor construction progress with regard to project schedule and submit weekly progress reports with recommendations based on technical review of project documents and field inspections. Requirements US Govt.
