In this role, you will work closely with the lead attorney and support staff to ensure all legally necessary protocols are followed while directly contributing to client success. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide legal advice and counsel during client consultations
- Manage and handle immigration cases from intake through resolution
- Prepare and review filings for immigration proceedings and administrative processes
- Representing clients in immigration court hearings and USCIS interviews
- Collaborate with legal assistants and support staff to ensure timely case progress
- Maintain high standards of client communication and case management
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school
- Active admission to a U.S. state bar (Michigan preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in immigration law
- Experience in removal defense and/or criminal law is a plus
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong advantage, but not required
