Role Description
The Intake Specialist is a full-time remote position responsible for providing administrative support for client intake processes. Daily tasks include managing and documenting client information, evaluating and verifying insurance coverage, and maintaining consistent communication with clients, healthcare partners, and internal teams. The role requires delivering exceptional customer service and accuracy in adherence to operational workflows.
Qualifications

· Accurate data entry of patient encounters into CasePointe system
· Must comply with all departmental policies and procedures
· Work in conjunction with insurance company and network facility personnel, MNS Clinical Services team members, and other MNS departments.
· Demonstrate excellent phone skills and the ability to screen customer needs and redirect calls as needed.
· Demonstrate excellent customer service attitude
· Assist co-workers in completion of critical tasks during times of peak caseloads/cross training and ability to cover in different teams where necessary.
· Participate as a team member within Clinical Services department and with all MNS departments
· Attend education classes as required
· Attend departmental meetings and company meetings as requested
· Assist in the creation and maintenance of electronic Clinical Services files
· Assist in electronic distribution of Clinical Services communications
· Work on special projects as needed
· Protect and safeguard all patient, facility and insurance information confidentiality
· Must attend work regularly, as scheduled.
· Knowledge base of insurance benefit information such as deductibles, copays, out-of-pocket costs, patient liability, etc.; initiation of pre-certifications; OON placements; different online payor resources.
· Knowledge base of medical diagnosis codes, CPT codes, skilled nursing facility services, etc.
· Familiarity with medical billing, reimbursement, claims, etc.
