Diesel Mechanic - 3+ Years' Experience

Managed Mobile, Inc. is an industry leading provider of mobile fleet maintenance and fleet management services in California. We are expanding and looking for experienced and well-qualified mechanics and technicians to further grow our company. 

We are currently looking for an experienced, advanced-level Diesel Mechanic for our Sacramento location who can diagnose and repair simple and complex heavy duty engine issues. The ideal candidate will be assigned a company provided vehicle, computer diagnostic equipment, and a cell-phone to best perform when working in the field. The successful candidate will execute the assigned repairs with well-thought and best-advised approach, adhering to all the company safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities /Duties for the Diesel Mechanic:

Perform inspection, troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair and maintenance for medium and heavy duty trucks, trailers and equipment including all major vehicle systems: Engine, Drive-Train, Brakes, Suspension, steering, electrical, and computer diagnostics;

Operate a fully equipped and functional mobile service vehicle, delivering service to customer locations throughout Los Angeles, Orange, and Inland Empire Counties;

Ability to respond throughout the day to different tasks as dictated by the changing demands and needs of the business;

Ability / flexibility to work an average of 8-10 hours per week of overtime

Qualifications:

• Highly proficient in troubleshooting and computer diagnostics
  
• Strong independent work ethic and responsible character
  
• Punctual, reliable, and positive attitude...no exceptions!
  
• Advanced aptitude and ability to perform diagnostics and repairs
  
• Minimum 3 years' experience as an advanced or journeyman level mechanic / technician
  
• ASE Certification(s) in Medium / Heavy Duty Category preferred
  
• Commercial driver license preferred
  
• Clear background and driving record...no exceptions!

The essential functions required to perform the job duties listed above include, but are not limited to, the following:

• For extended time periods up to approximately 2 hours per occurrence, multiple times per day: sitting, squatting, bending and kneeling, twisting of body and torso; using and manipulation of tools by twisting, pushing, pulling and turning of tools with hands, arms, and shoulders; pushing, pulling, reaching and lifting with arms and legs; operating air and hydraulic powered equipment and tools; looking at and typing on laptop computer or other digital device for the purpose of troubleshooting, email communication, access to technical data, etc…; driving a service vehicle;
• For shorter time periods, up to approximately 15 minutes per occurrence, multiple times per day: pushing, pulling, and lifting weight, up to 75 pounds, with arms and legs; climbing, stepping, and reaching to ascend up and down the chassis or frame of a truck or trailer approx.. 4-5 feet; climbing up and down a ladder approx.. 15 feet; lifting / handling / Sorting parts, materials, or equipment weighing up to up to 45 pounds; 

Required education:

 - High school or equivalent

  

Required license or certification:

• Valid CA Driver License 
• Commercial Driver's License is preferred

Compensation and Benefits:

$28 - $36 per hour / DOE; 100% Paid Medical / Dental / Vision For Employee; Paid Vacation Days / Paid Holidays / 401 (K) Retirement Program with Company Match.
