What are the responsibilities and job description for the Affordable Housing Assistant Property Manager position at Manage Chicago, Inc?
We are seeking an Assistant Property Manager to become a part of our team! You will help plan and facilitate all real estate activities and transactions.
Responsibilities:
• Must run daily work order reports (emergency, urgent’s, and routine checks)
• Accepting, arranging, and scheduling work orders submitted by tenants (Yardi procedures must be
followed)
• All designated reports must be updated in a timely manner
• In the absence of a property manager or when given the directive by a property manager all of the
assistants must complete other assigned tasks.
• Work orders are to be generated/closed out in a timely manner with following the Yardi work order
procedures
• Process all new tenant move in paperwork as required by Tenant Selection Plan and CHA waitlist
• Process recertification (i.e., sets up interviews, assists with filling out forms, follows up with
processing information, performs rent calculations, prepares leases, interims).
• Respond to resident/applicant requests in a timely manner which includes but not limited to the
following: ( answering/returning phone calls and responding to emails)
• Show apartments to prospective tenants if applicable
• Complete internal unit inspections as directed by the Property
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in property management or other related fields
- Familiarity with real estate contracts and leases
- Ability to build rapport with tenants
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
