Safety Manager

We are seeking an individual with experience in all aspects of construction safety to perform safety audits, training and risk evaluation. Experience with industrial hygiene including familiarity with personal exposure sampling techniques is required. Candidate must be capable of identifying known/potential exposures and recommending corrective actions, have strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing. This position will be based out of our Cumberland, RI office. The successful candidate may be required to work third shift.

Four year degree in Safety and Health or equivalent with at least ten (10) years of safety experience or more than fifteen (15) years’ experience in building construction, with a working knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques. At least one (1) recognized safety related certification, such as, but not limited to, Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Safety Management Specialist (SMS), OHST, CHST, or Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) highly desirable.

Must have a thorough understanding of all federal, state, and local regulations and the ability to recognize hazardous situations and recommend corrective measures. Good interpersonal and communication skills required. Candidate must have the ability to work a flexible schedule.
