As a vital organizational member, you will be a cornerstone of our operations in this role. You will supervise all maintenance-related matters for our facility in Fitzgerald, Georgia, providing crucial support to the Plant Manager and Operations team. Every day, you will use your judgment and discretion to help keep the plant running smoothly. Your job is vital to ensure we deliver safe, high-quality products on schedule.
In this role, you'll be in charge of keeping everything running smoothly. That means taking care of building systems, offices, production equipment, vehicles and spare-parts inventory. You will also oversee employee relations and discipline on your team, ensuring optimal staffing levels and the smooth operation of maintenance activities. You will be the first line of defense for troubleshooting emerging and emergency problems, tackling them directly or by organizing teams. You will also help identify process improvements to save money or improve work methods, create and implement policies and procedures, and schedule outside repair firms when required. Additionally, you will take charge of the training program for new maintenance personnel, implementing processes to ensure that training materials remain up to date.

Physical requirements of the position include the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, reach, squat, climb, push, pull, and lift 30-50 pounds.

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline, preferred, or extensive experience in industrial maintenance/engineering.
- Ten plus years of industrial maintenance (food industry experience preferred).
- Prefer 5 plus years supervisory and managerial experience in industrial maintenance.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, GFSI and GMP requirements for food processing facilities.
- Excellent communication skills, leadership skills, and team building capability.
- Strong desire for world class maintenance performance and a relentless pursuit of continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent planning and organizing skills with the ability to effectively plan and manage capital projects, equipment installations, upgrades, and major facility shutdown events.
- Strong CMMS systems knowledge and effective utilization for efficiency.
- Automation/Instrumentation/Controls knowledge and experience a plus.
