Automotive Technician Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs according to dealership standards and manufacturer specifications

• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, drivability concerns, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and more

• Complete accurate inspections and identify necessary repairs

• Utilize diagnostic equipment and advanced technology to efficiently troubleshoot concerns

• Communicate repair recommendations clearly with service advisors

• Stay current with evolving automotive technology through training and education

• Perform quality control inspections and road tests to verify repairs

Automotive Technician Requirements

Successful candidates will have:

• Minimum of 5 years of automotive technician experience

• Dealership experience strongly preferred

• Import vehicle experience required; Mazda experience preferred

• ASE certifications preferred

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

• Experience with shop equipment including diagnostic tools, alignment equipment, wheel and tire equipment, and A/C service equipment

• Valid driver's license

• Ability to complete quality repairs efficiently and accurately
