What We're Looking For

We are specifically looking for an experienced Service Advisor who wants to become a Lane Manager in the future.

The ideal candidate will be someone who:

• Has previous automotive Service Advisor experience
• Understands the importance of customer satisfaction and retention
• Can confidently recommend maintenance and repairs
• Communicates effectively with customers and technicians
• Takes ownership of their performance and responsibilities
• Is interested in developing leadership and management skills
• Wants to take on additional responsibility over time
• Is coachable, willing to learn, and open to following established processes and systems
• Has a strong work ethic and a desire to build a long-term career with Modern

Service Advisor Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and professionally and determine their service needs.
• Listen carefully to customers and accurately document vehicle concerns and requested services.
• Conduct thorough vehicle walk-arounds and identify additional maintenance or repair needs.
• Recommend appropriate maintenance and repairs based on manufacturer recommendations and vehicle condition.
• Prepare accurate repair orders and communicate repair recommendations clearly to customers.
• Provide customers with accurate estimates for labor, parts, and services.
• Maintain consistent communication with customers throughout the repair process.
• Explain completed repairs and charges clearly when vehicles are ready for delivery.
• Coordinate with technicians, parts personnel, and management to ensure repairs are completed efficiently.
• Monitor repair order progress and keep customers informed of any changes or delays.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and encourage repeat and referral business.
• Meet individual and department performance goals.
• Follow dealership processes, manufacturer guidelines, and all applicable policies and procedures.
• Assist with maintaining an organized and efficient service drive.
• Work with management on process improvements and department goals.
• Take on increasing responsibility as you develop toward the future Lane Manager position.

Position Requirements

• Previous automotive Service Advisor experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to confidently explain automotive repairs and recommendations to customers.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively with technicians, parts personnel, management, and customers.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Strong work ethic and ability to hold yourself accountable.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to learn, listen, and continue developing professionally.
• Desire to grow into a leadership/Lane Manager position is strongly preferred.
• Previous leadership or service-lane management experience is a plus, but not required.
