For more than 20 years MAN Engines & Components is the primary importer and service representative of MAN engines, components and parts with responsibility for North, Central and South America. The American subsidiary of MAN Truck & Bus AG has a long-term experience of packaging MAN “high speed” marine engines for major boat builders and its distributors. Together with its 65 dealers it provides an extensive service network for MAN Marine Diesel engines in its territory.
MAN Engines & Components is also the exclusive importer of industrial diesel and gas engines for construction equipment, agricultural machinery and power generation including CHP (combined heat power) application.
Additionally bus and heavy-duty truck axles are being assembled and provided to the North American market. High-quality chassis components and transfer cases are integral part of the product portfolio.

Position Summary
The Trainer / Technical Instructor is responsible for developing and delivering technical training programs for dealers, service partners, and customers. The role ensures participants gain the knowledge and practical skills required to safely operate, maintain, diagnose, and repair MAN Engines products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver classroom, virtual, and hands-on technical training.
- Develop and maintain training materials, presentations, manuals, and practical exercises.
- Conduct technical demonstrations and workshops.
- Assess participant competency through tests, practical evaluations, and certification programs.
- Support dealer and customer qualification initiatives.
- Keep training content aligned with product updates, service bulletins, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate training schedules, facilities, equipment, and training records.
- Provide technical support and coaching to dealers and service personnel.
- Promote safety, quality, and compliance with company standards.
Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor's degree or associated degree in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering or a related technical field; or equivalent technical qualification.
Experience
- Previous experience in technical training, coaching, or instruction
- Experience with troubleshooting, diagnostics, commissioning, and maintenance activities
- hands-on experience with diesel engines, power systems, marine propulsion systems, or related equipment preferred
Technical Skills
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service documentation.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and service software.
- Good understanding of safety and quality requirements.
Soft Skills
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and facilitation abilities.
- Ability to engage diverse audiences and adapt training methods.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Bilingual language preferred
Certifications
- Train-the-Trainer certification preferred.
- Willingness to complete internal trainer qualification and certification programs.
