Mammoth Unified School District is hiring a Paraprofessional for the 2025–2026 school year. This position is an opportunity to live and work in the beautiful town of Mammoth Lakes, California—an outdoor destination known for its community, culture, and quality of life.
We are seeking a supportive and enthusiastic paraprofessional aide to help foster student learning and growth. The ideal candidate will work closely with the classroom teacher, encourage students of all backgrounds, and contribute to a welcoming, collaborative school community.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Help manage classroom behavior and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
- Support curriculum development and lesson planning as needed.
- Engage in early childhood education practices
- Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress.
- Participate in classroom management strategies to ensure a safe learning environment.
- Document student progress and assist in assessments as required.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is essential.
- Background in early childhood education, or related fields is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, students, and parents.
- A passion for teaching and supporting the growth of all students.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.15 - $29.24 per hour
Expected hours: 32.5 per week
