Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our dynamic team! Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, refrigeration units, boilers, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Diagnose issues using schematics, electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters, and mechanical knowledge to identify root causes efficiently.
- Repair or replace faulty components including compressors, motors, valves, pumps, and electrical wiring while adhering to safety standards.
- Install new HVAC equipment and building automation systems in commercial or industrial settings following HVAC design specifications.
- Conduct plumbing and electrical diagnostics as needed to troubleshoot system failures or inefficiencies.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports documenting work performed and parts used for each job.
- Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving welding, equipment repair, ammonia refrigeration systems (including those using ammonia refrigerants), and property maintenance tasks.
Skills
- Proven experience as an HVAC service technician with a strong background in mechanical systems repair and maintenance.
- Construction experience or familiarity with building construction processes is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints related to HVAC/R systems.
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles and building automation systems for efficient system operation.
- Skilled in plumbing, electrical diagnostics (including use of ohmmeters), refrigeration techniques, and boiler operation.
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications such as
driver license or welding credentials are advantageous. - Mechanical knowledge encompassing appliance repair, property maintenance, air conditioning systems, ammonia refrigeration units, and general equipment repair.
- Experience working in field service environments with a focus on customer satisfaction and safety compliance.

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
