The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is part of a team concept in the clinical setting for the delivery of ambulatory care in the ambulatory setting with an emphasis on disease prevention and health maintenance. This individual will work closely with the clinical staff, front desk personnel, and other related departments. LVNs assist in caring for the sick, injured & healthy individuals, from a variety of ages ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics, under the direction of physicians, mid-level providers, and Registered Nurses. LVNs should have a caring, sympathetic nature and the ability to relate to the public regardless of ethnic, religious or economic status. They also should have keen observational and communication skills. As part of a health care team, they must be able to follow directions and work under close supervision.
What You'll Do

What You'll Do
- Take the vital signs on all patients including: BP, HR, R, O2 sat.
- Take the Height and Weight, and the level of pain on patients.
- Responsible for helping keep the patient flow in the clinic, rooming and preparing the patient to be seen by the provider.
- Medication administration both PO and injectable.
- IV starts and Performs venipuncture as needed
- EKG, set-up and administration
- Setting up for, for and assisting with minor surgeries in the clinic.
- Patient call backs and Prescription refills.
- Responsible for stocking the exam rooms as well as ordering supplies and medications for the clinic.
- Responsible to complete minor lab procedures, including, the collection of specimens both urine and blood, and be responsible for the routing of lab results to the correct provider.
- State of California Vocational Nurse license required.
- American Heart Association BLS certification required.
- IV Certification preferred.
- One year experience as an LVN preferred.
- Full-time, day shifts
- Starting wage $28.87 to $35.00 based on qualifications.
