Job Overview
We are seeking a junior to mid-level Systems / Electrical Liaison Engineer to join our growing team. This engineer will work closely with the lead of Liaison Engineering to support the 777-freighter conversion STC program. The engineer will be responsible for creating and revising design data in support of cargo conversion modifications to aircraft electrical systems, and supplementation for the installation of electrical components. The engineer interfaces with internal and external partners and suppliers, procurement, and manufacturing in performing these functions. This full-time position is onsite located at our Fort Worth, Texas facility.
Job Responsibilities
• Support Production needs as required when modification questions arise.
• Revise designs to aircraft electrical systems.
• Design repairs for aircraft electrical systems that are within the SWPM repairs.
• Coordinate with Engineering project & functional leads on redesign efforts.
• Support the integration of avionics / electrical systems installation components within the aircraft configuration.
• Ensure designs meet customer criteria, quality standards and FAA/EASA requirements as applicable.
• Achieve established metrics for timely resolution of production issues during the program.
• Represent the department during Production meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or aircraft related field or a minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace avionics / engineering of electrical systems.
• Thorough understanding of aircraft avionics systems.
• Knowledge of FAA requirements.
• Able to operate computer applications (Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, and engineering software (SolidWorks/CATIA). - Preferred
• Well organized and able to prioritize projects.
• Excellent understanding of company operations and needs.
• Good communications skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Highly experienced in the aviation/aerospace field with a background of working closely with Production groups.
• Boeing avionics installation, testing, and operational experience.
• Boeing manual experience (AMM, SWPM, SRM, IPC and SSM).
• Avionics Troubleshooting of aircraft systems.
Salary : $80,000 - $110,000
