We’ve been growing since 1974 with offices in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Mexico, and Argentina. We offer a broad range of innovative bespoke and universal solutions to the mining, transport, rail, industrial, agriculture and marine industries globally. Our solutions help protect people and the environment. They also help large machinery and plant equipment to run longer, last longer, and give better performance. We are looking for an outgoing technical person to join our Sales team.
Purpose/Job Role:
We’re hiring a Territory Sales Representative for Mammoth Equipment & Exhaust, focused on mine sites, heavy equipment contractors, and industrial service partners. This is a true field role built around face-to-face selling in hard-hat environments. Your day is spent in trucks, shops, yards, and mine offices—not behind a desk.
You’ll be calling on mine maintenance teams, site supervisors, fleet managers, and OEM or service contractors, building relationships the old-fashioned way: showing up, knowing your product, and earning trust. This role requires grit, technical curiosity, and the confidence to walk onto a site and start a real conversation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales Growth:
- Conduct daily in-person visits to mine sites, equipment yards, fabrication shops, and industrial service providers (cold and warm calls)
- Build and grow a territory-based customer base across mining, heavy equipment, and industrial sectors
- Engage with maintenance supervisors, planners, and site leadership to understand operational needs
- Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and technical solutions in collaboration with Inside Sales, Engineering, and Operations
- Negotiate pricing and commercial terms and close sales opportunities
- Track activity, opportunities, and follow-ups in the CRM
Client Engagement & Technical Support
- Deliver product presentations, demonstrations, and basic technical walkthroughs tailored to customer needs
- Act as a technical liaison between the customer and internal teams
- Maintain regular follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and identify future opportunities
Site & Safety Participation
- Attend required safety orientations, site inductions, and compliance training
- Support on-site measurements or assessments as needed, in coordination with Field Service Technicians
Occasional Field Support (Secondary)
- Provide limited on-site installation or support only when Field Service resources are unavailable and as approved
- Ensure any such work meets company safety and quality standards
Qualifications:
Required
- Strong customer focus with proven relationship-building skills
- 2 years of face-to-face B2B sales experience in industrial, mining, heavy equipment, or technical environments
- Comfortable working on mine sites and industrial locations (PPE, safety protocols, site rules)
- Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills
- Self-directed with the ability to plan routes, manage territory activity, and follow through
- Proficiency with CRM tools
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Preferred
- Technical or mechanical aptitude (diesel, exhaust, fabrication, heavy equipment)
- Experience selling into mine sites or industrial service environments
