About the team
You'll be joining a dynamic and collaborative end-to-end AWS platform team. We take ownership of the entire lifecycle of our platform elements on AWS, from initial design and development through deployment, scaling, monitoring, and ongoing operational excellence. This means you'll have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of technologies within AWS with a possibility to expand your experience in other cloud service providers in the future.
What you’ll do
- Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of platform components and services using infrastructure-as-code principles.
- Identify opportunities for automation and develop solutions to streamline operational tasks, improve efficiency, and reduce manual intervention.
- Participate in the provisioning, configuration, and management of AWS resources, ensuring adherence to best practices and security standards.
- Implement and maintain robust monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address potential issues.
- Work closely with other engineering teams, including development, and security, to deliver seamless and integrated solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS technologies and industry trends, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our platform and processes.
What you’ll bring
- 5 years of experience working in a similar role
- Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and experience working with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation, ECS/EKS).
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform).
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Go).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
