LOCATION: Hommocks Middle School
HOURS: Monday – Friday, 35 hours per week
TIME: 7:50am - 3:20pm, with a 30 minute lunch
SUPERVISOR: Building Assistant Principal
RESPONSIBILITIES - General Education Aide
- Provide academic support under the teacher's direction.
- Encourage student engagement and on-task behavior.
- Monitor students during lunch, recess, or other assigned supervision duties.
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, administrators, and support staff.
- Other duties as assigned
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- A professional, patient, and calm demeanor with children of all ages
- Experience with children who have attentional, behavioral/emotional, and academic challenges
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: High School Diploma
COMPENSATION: In accordance with the Agreement between the Board of Education and the Mamaroneck Teacher Aides Unit.
