We are seeking a friendly and efficient Counter/Server to join our dynamic team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. Previous experience with POS systems and food handling is preferred, along with a strong commitment to hospitality standards.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and courteously, creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, ensuring proper presentation and timing
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Manage cash handling and cashiering duties with accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food preparation and service areas
- Assist with food preparation or bussing tables as needed in a fine dining or casual setting
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Support opening and closing procedures, including sanitation and restocking supplies
- Utilize reservation management tools like OpenTable when applicable
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables or orders efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and billing purposes
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and guest-focused attitude
- Experience with upselling techniques to enhance guest experience and sales revenue
- Capable of working flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary
- Previous host/host or serving experience is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential
