About the Role
We’re on the lookout for cheerful, reliable, and enthusiastic
Front of House team members who enjoy connecting with people and
creating exceptional experiences. Whether you're greeting customers,
taking orders, or making drinks, your attitude makes all the difference.
Perfect for college students or anyone who loves a flexible, team-centered environment.
What You’ll Do
- Greet and engage guests with a warm, friendly attitude
- Learn names, faces, and favorite orders (you’ll become a familiar face!)
- Master the POS system and handle transactions with confidence
- Keep the café clean, stocked, and running smoothly
- Work as a team to make magic happen — whether it's coffee, food, or vibes
What We’re Looking For
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong initiative — you see something that needs to be done, you do it
- Great communicator and team player
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Must be 18 and able to lift 10–55 lbs
- Must have or obtain a valid TN ABC card within 60 days
- Open availability (weekends required)
- Reliable transportation and punctuality a must

- Rate of pay $15/hr during training. Once you have successfully completed station training and your check-off, you will move to hourly plus tips.

Mama's Java Cafe is a locally owned and family run cafe in Nolensville, TN. After Mark and Melissa Hall moved from Seattle to the small town of Nolensville, Mama's Java was established and opened in January 2010. Standing for the family: Mark - Anthony - Melissa - Alexis - Ashton & Aleczander (MAMA's) which has always been the driving force behind MJ's. They grew their business rooted in the same town they have raised their four kids. Priding themselves on offering made to order food and drinks and specialty air-roasted coffee roasted in house behind glass which Mark does when not working for Franklin Fire Dept. - MJ Roasting Co. Offering over 40 different flavored coffee (including Tennessee Chocolate Whiskey every Wednesday and Southern Pecan every Saturday) along with single origin & endless blends.
