Mama’s Boy Barbershop is looking for a reliable, friendly, and organized Barbershop Assistant to help keep the shop running smoothly and provide an excellent experience for our clients.
This role involves assisting with daily shop operations, maintaining a clean environment, welcoming clients, and helping film short-form video content for our social media.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming barbershop environment.
- Greet clients and make sure they feel comfortable when they arrive.
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist with basic client inquiries.
- Help open and close the barbershop.
- Assist with general daily tasks to keep the shop running smoothly.
- Film Instagram Reels and other short-form videos featuring haircuts, barbers, and everyday moments in the shop.
- Capture engaging video footage using a smartphone, paying attention to angles, lighting, and framing.
- Follow filming directions and help bring creative content ideas to life.
Qualifications
- Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with people.
- Reliable, punctual, and well-organized.
- Able to take initiative and work independently.
- Basic knowledge of filming videos with a smartphone.
- Familiarity with Instagram Reels, TikTok, or similar social media content.
- Willingness to assist with cleaning and general shop duties.
- Customer service, hospitality, retail, or filming experience is a plus.
No barbering experience or video editing skills are required.
