What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Prep position at Mama Margies Mexican Restaurant?
As Kitchen Prep, you will be responsible for completing all assigned prep work, which will include chopping vegetables, deboning chicken, peeling avocados, and assisting the cook in preparation of food items.
Your duties include but are not limited to, chopping, dicing, using equipment, washing dishes, cleaning of equipment, assisting the cook, and following all health and safety standards, while maintaining a clean work area.
You must be dependable, able to work in a fast paced environment, able to work harmoniously with other employees, willing to learn work at other positions besides kitchen prep, and be able to work weekends and holidays including Christmas.
This position also requires, by way of, example only, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand up to 8 hours, use motion that entails pushing, pulling, bending, stretching and continuous use of fingers and wrists, and using knives, deep fryers, slicing and other food preparation equipment while standing.
