Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling and credit card payments
- Upsell menu items, including wines and spirits, to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, bar areas, and service stations; bus tables as needed
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen coordination when necessary to ensure smooth service flow
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of menu items, including cocktail recipes, wine pairings, and spirits experience
- Support guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a memorable dining experience
- Follow sanitation protocols and food handling procedures to uphold health standards in the food industry
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order entry and sales processing
- Strong knowledge of beverage service, including cocktails, wine knowledge, spirits experience, and drink service techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Food safety certification or knowledge of sanitation standards in the food industry
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in hospitality or food industry roles such as host/hostess or bartender is advantageous
