Position Summary:
Malwin is seeking a LabVIEW Systems Architect to lead the development and integration of advanced test benches across production and repair operations. The candidate will design, implement, and validate automated test systems using LabVIEW, TestStand, and NI hardware platforms (PXI, cRIO, DAQ)—ensuring traceability, calibration integrity, and compliance with AS9100 and FAA MRO standards.
The ideal candidate holds Certified LabVIEW Architect (CLA) or Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) credentials and thrives in environments bridging hardware, software, and quality-critical testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and deploy automated test systems for avionics instruments and subassemblies.
- Integrate LabVIEW with MATLAB/Simulink models, SolidWorks-based mechanical systems, and existing calibration and production databases.
- Develop modular, reusable code using object-oriented LabVIEW design and version control (Git/Microsoft DevOps).
- Design and execute validation plans for test benches, ensuring adherence to calibration standards and quality control protocols.
- Interface with design, production, and repair teams to translate engineering requirements into executable test sequences.
- Integrate NI TestStand for automated sequencing, report generation, and traceable data storage into Malwin’s database architecture.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and cognizant authorities to ensure test systems are audit-ready under AS9100 and FAA MRO expectations.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians on LabVIEW fundamentals, data acquisition, and software lifecycle management.

- Strong understanding of signal processing, instrumentation, and electromechanical systems.
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and SolidWorks Motion integration preferred.
- Familiarity with AS9100/ISO 9001 quality frameworks and calibration traceability.
- Demonstrated experience in hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) or system-in-the-loop (SIL) testing.
- Excellent documentation and configuration control discipline.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with NI TestStand, SystemLink, or LabVIEW RT/FPGA.
- Knowledge of aviation instrumentation, especially altimeters, attitude indicators, and air data computers.
- Familiarity with SQL/SharePoint-integrated databases (Microsoft Dynamics backend).
- Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) or Agile project structures.
- U.S. Citizenship (for ITAR compliance).
What We Offer
- Opportunity to lead the next generation of automated aerospace test benches.
