Position Title:            Deposit Operations/Maintenance Specialist

Location:                    Malvern, AR

Department:               Deposit Operations

Reports To:                Operations Team Manager

Hours:                         Full-time position


GENERAL SUMMARY
Under general supervision and guidance of the Operations Team Manager, the Deposit Operations/Maintenance Specialist will provide exceptional support and clerical service specific to MNB deposit customers, maintaining accurate account information through various monitoring and reporting while insuring compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures, and legal requirements; the member will assist to maintain the bank’s RMS (Relationship Management System). Work is highly confidential in nature and involves the skilled use of a computer.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Consistently deliver phenomenal customer service through aggressive friendliness accompanied by honest, positive and confident behaviors (in-house and on the phone)   
  2. Provide timely and accurate service to both internal and external customers
  3. Remain abreast of all deposit products offered to MNB customers
  4. Research customer inquiries on DDA and Savings Accounts while resolving customer issues (both in person and on the phone)
  5. Update accounts as needed with accurate information, making necessary changes – phone numbers, addresses, account types, account reactivations, E-Statement set-ups, etc.
  6. Review department maintenance entered by Deposit Ops team members
  7. Daily assist RMS (Relationship Management System) Specialist; involving any customer added or maintenances (DDA, Savings, CD, IRA, Lockbox, Loans) within the system
  8. Enter and review stop payments; work with Account Monitoring - account and REG CC holds
  9. Review Branch Safe Deposit Accounts for accuracy
  10. Set-up and review Auto Transfers/Dynamic Transfers
  11. Enter ACH/Check Translations
  12. Analyze Crippled statements for customer statement preparation
  13. Maintain a working knowledge of ATM, ACH, and Online banking
  14. Crosstrain in other Deposit Operation positions in order to assist team members and serve as a backup when necessary
  15. Maintain customer confidence and protect bank operations through utmost confidentiality
  16. Perform any other related duties as may be required or assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associates Degree; or two (2) years related work experience/training in business fields (e.g. accounting, business admin, finance, etc.) required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience working in a bank or other financial institution required; preferably opening new accounts


OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Deposit Operations/Maintenance Specialist must be able to

  • Read, understand and comply with documents (e.g. policy manuals, laws, regulations, internal procedures and controls, etc.) and exercise independent judgement, initiative, and discretion based on knowledge of such in performing daily activities
  • Multi-task and rotate job tasks with seamless flexibility
  • Provide transportation to attend required training/meetings at designated locations within the bank
  • Proficiently type on a keyboard
  • Efficiently use standard office equipment (i.e. desktop/laptop computer and software, copier, scanners, printers, fax, 10-key calculator, multi-line telephone system, etc.)
  • Proficiently use MS Office applications (Word, Excel)
  • Exhibit professional appearance and manner
