Malvern Behavioral Health is currently seeking Full-time Inpatient Therapists to work at our upcoming BRAND NEW Malvern Behavioral Health facility located at 3905 W. Ford Road Philadelphia, PA 19131. The Therapist position is a full-time day shift position working Monday - Friday. The primary responsibilities of the Inpatient Therapist is to provide quality psychotherapeutic treatment services to all patient populations and their families, as well as provide assessment, group treatment, and family work.
Additional Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of developmental psychology and needs of various populations.

Knowledge of short term/acute care stabilization mental health treatment.

Knowledge of cognitive behavioral theory and systems theory.

Knowledge of dialectical behavioral therapy theory and able to implement skills based groups

Able to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families.

Knowledge of milieu management.

Knowledge of appropriate assessments, diagnoses, and interventions with patients.

Ability to maintain professional relationships with patients, patient’s family members, staff and community personnel.

Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and high ethical standards

Assessment skills for evaluating mental illness and substance abuse in clients age 18 and above.

Facilitation skills for leading process, psycho education, and multifamily groups.

Treatment skills for working with patients and their significant others on safety in one or two sessions.

Organizational and telephone skills for setting up aftercare appointments and placement.
-
Professional verbal and written skills for communicating the patient status and treatment needs to employees of the hospital, payers, families, professionals, paraprofessionals, and members of the patient's community.

Skills in preparing and maintaining appropriate medical record documentation.

Education/Training:
All applicants for the CBT Inpatient Therapist must posses a Master’s Degree in Human Service field (e.g. Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, etc.)
Experience:
At least 2 years’ experience in the mental health field, hospital experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification:

LPC or CRT (Preferred)

CPR Certification (Preferred)

Salary : $55,000 - $62,000
