What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Supervisor position at Malteurop?
JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE: Manage all aspects of Malthouse and Elevator Operations including coverage for The Process Manager and the Elevator Supervisor positions.
MALTHOUSE OPERATIONAL DUTIES:
- Support all company initiatives, programs, and policies with a positive attitude.
- Enforce Plant Operating Rules and Regulations and Safety Rules.
- Work diligently and cooperatively with other employees to achieve all goals, targets and initiatives set forth by Management.
- Closely monitor malting process and act diligently to avoid any quality issues or production delays.
- Supervise malt production personnel, with overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of his/her unit.
- Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Supervisor carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Participate in all required training and education. Supervisor should develop his/her own Career Development Plan under the direction of Management and Human Resource Department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience in food manufacturing or production leadership.
- Proven ability to lead teams, drive results, and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to read, interpret, and enforce SOPs, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting
- Proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel.
- Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position, including repeated bending, stretching, walking, twisting and lifting.
- Ability to set and prioritize goals
