What are the responsibilities and job description for the Press Brake Operator position at Maloya?
BASIC FUNCTION
Efficiently operate state of the art bending equipment and produce components that meet customer specifications. Equipment utilizes 8 axis back gauging with multiple contact points for complex forming. Set up and operate Press Brake Machines (220,100,60 Ton) to bend, form, stretch, or straighten metal or structural shapes, as specified by work order, blueprints, drawing, templates, or layout.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
· Efficient through put of daily bending requirements with and error rate of less than .5%.
· Inspect first article pieces and perform in process inspection as needed.
· Process required quality documentation.
· Fabricate components as per work order instructions.
· Follow established safety procedures.
· Accurately collect process times using shop floor bar code system.
· Change dies, and adjust press brake components such as ram and/or back gauges.
· Load and save bending programs on CNC controller as needed.
· Assist in developing basic non-standard tools when needed.
· Accurately count finished parts, organize and move completed work to next work center.
· Fill out set up documentation for bending jobs when needed.
· Maintain a clean and well organized work area.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
