About the Role
We are seeking an experienced building estimator to join our pre-construction team.
Job Summary
- Provide front-end services including programming, conceptual design, preliminary budgeting, and marketing.
- Direct the design process by programming with customers to develop project scope and design requirements.
- Evaluate best-value subcontractors and vendors, prepare preliminary schedules, and estimate self-perform activities.
- Prepare and submit detailed bid packages and proposals.
- Maintain routine contact with customers, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Manage project handoff from estimating to operations.
Requirements
- Exhibit professionalism in interactions with clients, suppliers, and coworkers.
- Efficiently usher projects from concept through estimating and project kickoff.
- Show understanding of construction and engineering techniques.
- Demonstrate knowledge of safe working practices.
- possess technical skills related to estimating software, Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam, etc.
- Travel to project sites and meet with customers as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 10 years of experience estimating or managing industrial building, structural concrete, and/or commercial construction projects.
