What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Superintendent position at Malone Workforce Solutions?
We’re seeking an experienced Plant Superintendent to lead day-to-day production operations at a chemical manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on safety, productivity, quality, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily production across a multi-shift manufacturing operation.
- Manage, coach, and develop production supervisors and frontline teams.
- Monitor production KPIs and address issues impacting safety, quality, output, staffing, and downtime.
- Maintain a strong presence on the production floor and drive accountability.
- Partner with Safety, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, HR, and Plant Leadership.
- Drive process improvement, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with operating procedures and safety standards.
Qualifications
- 7 years of manufacturing or industrial operations experience.
- 3 years of leadership experience managing manufacturing teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Experience in chemical or process manufacturing strongly preferred.
- Experience in a safety-sensitive, multi-shift manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of production management, process safety, KPIs, and continuous improvement.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
