Electronics Manufacturing Buyer
(3-Month Temp-to-Hire)
Our growing team is seeking an experienced Contract Manufacturing Buyer to join a well-established and innovative company in our North San Diego offices. This is a 3-month temp-to-hire opportunity with great long-term potential for the right candidate!
Pay: $50,000–$55,000 annually
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
Location: Carlsbad, CA
Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Buyer/Purchaser is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing purchasing and contractual activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare costed Bills of Materials (BOMs) for clients and potential customers
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry of BOMs, sales orders, and work orders
- Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for clients
- Collaborate with management to evaluate engineering feasibility, cost, and customer demand for new/existing products
- Prepare bids, process specifications, and inspection/test documentation
- Review performance requirements, delivery schedules, and cost estimates for completeness and accuracy
- Support new business development initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree in business or a technical discipline
- Experience working within an Electronic Purchasing Manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with PCBAs, SMT, and box builds
- Ability to read and interpret component drawings, schematics, and specifications, including tolerances
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
