III. Job Summary
The purpose of this position is to ensure the safety and security of the university’s campus and its students, faculty, and staff. This includes patrolling the campus, responding to alarms and emergency calls, monitoring access to buildings, enforcing parking regulations, and reporting suspicious activity.
IV. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitors campus grounds to ensure safety and security of personnel and facilities
- Performs routine patrols of campus buildings, parking lots, and other areas
- Responds to emergency calls and provides assistance to personnel in need
- Provides escorts to students, faculty and staff as requested
- Investigates incidents and reports findings to the appropriate authorities
- Enforces campus policies and procedures
- Monitors access to campus buildings
- Assists visitors with directions and inquiries
- Maintains accurate records of security activities
- Other duties as assigned

VI. Education and Experience
- High School diploma required
- Proven work experience as a security officer or similar role
- Experience administering First Aid
VII. Working Conditions / Physical Demands
- This job primarily involves working outdoors and being on feet for long periods of time. The role may require working in shifts and during weekends or holidays.
