What Does an inside/ Contractor Sales Specialist Do?
- Builds and maintains strong customer relationships, including contractors, by projecting a customer-focused image and providing exceptional service
- Provides technical guidance to customers in their purchasing decisions
- Communicates with customers via phone and email to answer questions and process orders
- Shares accurate pricing, inventory, and delivery information to facilitate sales
- Prepares bids, estimates, and input orders accurately into the system
- Assists with accounts receivable collections and order processing
- Other tasks as assigned
What Does It Take to Be Successful as an Contractor Sales/ Inside Sales Specialist?
- High school diploma or equivalent (some college in business preferred)
- Previous inside sales experience, preferably in construction or building materials
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for positive customer relationships
- Organizational capabilities to manage customer accounts and sales leads
- Team player mentality, ready to contribute as needed
- Knowledge of special order doors, windows, and building materials is a plus
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Results-oriented with the ability to serve stores with humility and be a steward of Nation’s Best’s values
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while remaining adaptable and flexible
- Strong interpersonal skills with a willingness to consistently provide superior customer service skills
