Stepdown RN – Deaconess Gateway
Shift: Nights, 3x12s (6:30 PM–7:00 AM) | 36 hrs/week (48 hrs optional)
Contract: 13 weeks
Experience: 2 years RN, 1 year Stepdown, 1 travel assignment, Level II Trauma experience
Required: Compact RN License, AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, recent Epic experience
Patient Population: Cardiac, Sepsis, DKA, CVA, GI Bleeds, Post-Cath, CPAP, Feeding Tubes
Must Have: Tele/EKG interpretation, titration of Heparin, Insulin & antiarrhythmic drips, NIHSS, Neuro assessments
Preferred: Stable home vents, PleurX/pericardial drains, lumbar drains, VP shunts, Narcan drips
Unit: 16-bed Stepdown | Ratios 1:3–4 (MS up to 1:5)
Float: Deaconess Midtown & Henderson as needed
Weekend: 3 weekends per 6-week schedule | Every other holiday
Scrubs: Navy Blue
