PACU Registered Nurse
Position Overview
- Shift: Day – 4x10-hour shifts (07:00 – 17:30)
- Start Times: Rotating (06:00 / 07:00 / 08:00 based on unit needs)
- Schedule Flexibility: May vary to 3x12-hour shifts/week depending on department needs
- Provide Phase I PACU recovery care for patients post-IR procedures
- Monitor and assess patients recovering from sedation/anesthesia
- Manage airway, hemodynamics, and pain control in immediate recovery phase
- Deliver care to both adult and pediatric patients
- Respond to patient condition changes and escalate care as needed
- Collaborate with IR team, anesthesia, and multidisciplinary staff
Required Experience - Minimum 1 year ICU experience (required)
- IR PACU experience with Phase I recovery (required)
- Experience with pediatric patients (required)
- Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- Not required at submission
- Must obtain prior to start date
