The types of procedures provided are vascular surgical cases:
• Arterial, visceral, and venous intervention. AAA stent
• Peripheral intervention with possible conversion to open
• Scrub for the percutaneous portion; a surgical tech would be available if the case converted to open.
• Set up tray, injector, table operation, X-ray and imaging set up including DSA, and radiation safety
• Scrub and assist the vascular surgeon with wires, catheters, balloons, stents, and other interventional and closure devices.
Average call-in/late cases occur twice per week.
Can be a cath lab, IR, or special procedures tech. Missouri does not have a statewide licensure requirement for operating X-ray equipment, so RCIS or a scrub tech with the appropriate skill set would work as well.
Able to scrub open cases would be a big bonus.
