Join a highly specialized Cardiovascular Pre-Operative team supporting cardiac surgery patients at one of North Carolina's leading heart programs. This role is ideal for an RN with strong critical care experience who thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Requirements- Active RN License
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- Critical Care Experience Required
- Pre-Op Experience Preferred
- Department: Cardiovascular Pre-Op
- 4-Bed Unit
- 1:1 Patient Ratio
- Cerner EMR
- Shared support team including Charge Nurse, Unit Secretary, Manager, and CVOR staff
- Provided Scrubs
- Large-Bore IV Placement
- Medication Administration
- Comprehensive Pre-Operative Assessments
- Skin Assessments
- Chin-to-Toe Surgical Prep
- Assist with:
- Arterial Line Placement
- Central Line Placement
- Epidural Placement
- Patient Transport to OR
- Assist with:
- Induction & Intubation
- Patient Positioning
- Surgical Skin Preparation
- Strong Critical Thinking
- Independent Decision-Making
- Excellent Documentation
- BCMA Experience
- Effective Communication with Multidisciplinary Teams
- Ability to Work in a High-Acuity Environment
- Monday–Friday
- 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
- Expected to stay late approximately 1–2 times per week as needed
- Float within scope and experience when required
