Shop Cleaner

Description:

Malloy is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shop Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in our industrial facility. The Shop Cleaner will be responsible for ensuring that floors, equipment, restrooms and areas are clean, safe, and free from hazards, supporting a productive and compliant work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily cleaning of shop floors, walkways, workstations, and machinery.
• Remove metal shavings, oil spills, dust, and other industrial waste using appropriate cleaning methods.
• Empty trash bins, dispose of industrial and general waste according to company procedures.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, and locker areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, sweepers, vacuums, and pressure washers.
• Maintaining cleaning supplies inventory and report restocking needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Identify and report any safety hazards, spills, or maintenance issues.
• Follow cleaning schedules and checklists as assigned by the supervisor.
• Support other departments with special cleaning projects when required.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, eye and face protection, and safety shoes when required.
• Keep work area neat and clean.
• Perform other functions as necessary.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and work ethic.
• Valid driver's license.
• Employment is contingent upon passing a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
