Position Overview
The Program Analyst II provides routine administrative support, conducts and reviews analytical studies and surveys: formulate procedures, policies, and program alternatives; make recommendations on a broad spectrum of administrative and program-related problems; review and analyze proposed legislation and advise management on the impact or potential impact. Responsibilities also include aiding with administration and documentation of contracts and contractual changes and coordinating preparations of proposals, plans, specifications, and financial data of contracts and grants. This role is ideal for candidates with strong analytical, research, and strong writing skills who enjoy working in a collaborative, fast paced environment that supports national safety and transportation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft status reports
- Attend meetings as necessary to complete duties.
- Provide various technical and analytical support.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- Minimum of four (4) years of professional analytical experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently under minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting federal programs or contracts.
- Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and government grant processes.
- Experience in preparing analytical reports, presentations, and briefing materials.
- Experience performing duties in one or a combination of the following or closely related areas: budgeting, management analysis, personnel, planning, program evaluation, or policy analysis.
- Background in transportation, safety, or administrative management support services.
