What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ice Cream Maker position at Mallard Ice Cream?
Join our team as an ice cream maker! Mallard has been a staple of downtown Bellingham for over 20 years with a passion and focus on local food, inventive flavors and using the best of what the PNW has to offer.
Must be available M-F 9-5
Requirements
- Previous production kitchen or back of house experience preferred
- Able to stand on feet for long period of time
- Able to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly through shift
- Able to work in a cold (-20 degree) environment for short periods of time
- Attention to detail
Responsibilities:
Production of ice cream according to daily production schedule
Proper food safety and handling of ingredients and finished product
Preparation of various components of final product
Follow established recipes and procedures
Quality control
Label, store and organize pints and tubs
Clear and effective communication with all members of the team
Maintain a clean and safe workspace at all times
Receive deliveries and maintain organized storage of ingredients and paper goods
Opening and Closing tasks for the kitchen
Reports to Kitchen Manager
25-30 hours/week in winter, 35-40 hours/week in spring & summer
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
