PRESCHOOL LEAD TEACHER JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a passionate, experienced Preschool Lead Teacher to create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in early childhood education, classroom leadership, and curriculum planning. This role is critical in supporting children's academic, social, and emotional growth while ensuring a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment aligned with best practices and developmental standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that supports early literacy, math, physical development, and social-emotional growth.
- Plan and lead daily lesson plans using play-based and structured learning activities.
- Create and maintain a safe, clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
- Use positive behavior management strategies to encourage social skills and emotional regulation.
- Observe, assess, and document student progress, developmental milestones, and attendance.
- Provide individualized support to children as needed, including collaboration on early intervention strategies or IEP-related accommodations when applicable.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents/guardians regarding student progress, achievements, and concerns.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and aides, providing guidance on instruction and classroom management.
- Promote child welfare practices that support emotional well-being and inclusivity.
- Collaborate with administration and staff to support continuous classroom and program improvement.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience working in a preschool or daycare setting; lead classroom experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development, classroom management, literacy, math, and gross motor activities.
- Experience with curriculum development and lesson planning; familiarity with Montessori or other early learning frameworks is a plus.
- Ability to support diverse learning needs in an inclusive classroom environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and staff.
- Early childhood education credentials or childcare certification preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a classroom with warmth, structure, and professionalism.
- Genuine passion for working with young children and helping them reach their full potential.

Education & Experience:
- College Degree or equivalent (Preferred).
- At least 3-5 years of experience in preschool education (Required)
Pay:
- $ $24.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Expected Hours:
- 40 hours per week
- 8-hour shifts
- Overtime as needed
