Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a full time Customer Service Representative / Shipping / Receiving Clerk in Hayward - Candidate should have great customer service skills, strong attention to detail and ability to communicate efficiently with customers and Warehouse Team.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:45 am - 4:30 pm, with possible overtime
Hourly Pay: $18.75
Shipping / Receiving Duties
- Check drivers in/out in WMS and handle online dock scheduling system for inbounds and outbounds
- Check and close inbounds, monitor doors and driver dwelling time, record driver in/out times in WMS and Dock System
- Verify driver truck seals and also seal trucks on outbound shipments
Customer Service Duties
- Process and input all customer orders
- Run stock/inventory reports to check for product availability
- Generate all related paperwork and necessary information required for customer work orders; check all orders for special requests and post inventory records
- Coordinate special/last minute shipping requests with the Transportation and Operations Departments
- Expedite any orders if necessary
- Trace orders as required and notify customers of any activity concerning their order
- Ensure proper invoicing of accounts by verifying computer-generated invoices
- Maintain damage records and backorder logs
- Handle return merchandise in an efficient manner and ensure proper credit is given to customer
- Maintain excellent working relationships with customers by responding to all inquiries and complaints concerning work orders, invoices, shipments, inventory counts, etc. in a courteous and efficient manner
- Report customer feedback to management, including any signs of customer disatisfaction
- Act as a liason between the warehouse and the customer
- Oversee all paperwork associated with orders and maintain the corresponding files
- Maintain current and accurate procedure manuals that detail the processing requirements for each account
- Answer phone calls and operate various types of office machines and computers necessary to perform duties
- Effectively correspond with customers as required
Qualifications
- High school or equivalent
- 6 months customer service experience, preferred in logistics
- Knowledge skills: General office knowledge including telephone and computer skills
- Detail-oriented
- Multi-tasker
- Data entry
Salary : $19
