Quality Specialist

Job Summary

The Quality Specialist is responsible for maintaining product and service quality through inspections, testing, documentation, training, and process improvement. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with company, FDA, OSHA, and other applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections, incoming/outgoing checks, and document findings.
• Maintain DHRs, DMRs, QRTN areas, quality records, and product documentation.
• Ensure outgoing products have required pictures/videos and accurate shipment counts and serial numbers.
• Identify, investigate, document, and escalate quality issues, deviations, and CAPAs.
• Support audits, bid checks, product changes, and new product rollouts.
• Develop and provide quality and technical training for employees, dealers, and customers.
• Lead quality improvement projects and recommend process improvements.
• Analyze quality data, processes, and procedures to improve customer experience.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments and assist with technical service activities.
• Lead, coach, and support team members while maintaining a professional, collaborative environment.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA, FDA, and applicable state/federal regulations.
• Support interviews, employee documentation, timekeeping, and other administrative responsibilities.
• Stay current on product and industry trends.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years of quality, manufacturing, or Lean manufacturing experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Quality experience is required; Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or TPS certification is a plus.
• Strong technical, analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Epicor, NetSuite, or similar.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to professionally address team challenges.
• Dependable with strong attendance.
• Must speak, read, and write English fluently.
