Job Summary
The Estimator role for the Commercial division will be responsible for preparing and/or coordinating the preparation of large and complex projects as required by client’s documents and providing complete conceptual and total bid prices.

Local travel to client sites as requested by the division manager (minimal travel).

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Reviews and evaluates requests for estimates for the appropriate division.
- Works with clients and team members to clarify and understand scope prior to bidding.
- Actively look for future bid opportunities.
- Reviews estimates and revision for completeness and accuracy.
- Reviews all and analyzes construction documents and understands scope of work to bid.
- Gather, calculate, and comply all take-off data to create bid proposal estimates.
- Executes take-off bid maintenance documents and inputs into computer.
- Perform quantity and cost analysis, labor estimates and pricing from subcontractors.
- Prepares cost analysis in computer by recapitulating material, labor, equipment, subcontractor and overhead costs incurred in the installation of items from multiple sources.
- Create job cost estimated with project cost/profit margins for work.
- Project, calculate and submit appropriate change orders on plan changes.
- Review estimates for completeness and accuracy from start to finish and close out of the projects in a timely manner.
- Follows up with clients on status of estimates after submittal.
- Develops and maintains resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc.
- Update and maintain bid schedule on a timely basis.
- Develop bid calculator.
- Support the overall goal and objectives of the company.
- Attends meetings as required.
- Work at a fast-paced environment while operating with a high sense of urgency.
- Must uphold company policies, procedures, and company core values at all times.
- Stay current on industry standards, contracts, and terms.
- Superior analytical skills with extreme attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong networking and effective communication skills to build client-centric and team collaboration.
- Technical Capacity to include MS Office applications.
- List years of experience preferred.
- List education or equivalent work experience preferred.
- List any credentials/experience that may be a plus.

Requirements
- 2 years of landscape industry estimating experience
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
- Able to sit onsite M-F full time
