What are the responsibilities and job description for the Education Support Professional - Extended School Year Services (ESY) [Summer 2023] position at Malden Public Schools?
Summer 2023 - ESY ESP
(60 Positions Total - Pre-K-12)
Qualifications (Required):
- High School Diploma
- Ability to relate/communicate effectively with teachers, students, parents, and administrators.
- ESP must commit to being present for each day of the program. See dates below for more info.
Qualifications (Preferred):
- Experience working in the Malden Public Schools.
- Working with young children in a school setting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in two staff development meetings.
- Collaborate with the Program staff plan for students on IEP’s.
- Complete planning logs for each session and maintain student attendance records.
- Help teachers with keeping folders/portfolios with student work.
- Perform other related activities as required by the program coordinator.
Duration:
Program Administration and Implementation 96 hours total to include the following:
- Professional In-service Days June 28 - 29 (3 hours each day).
- 18 days, Monday-Thursday, from July 5 – August 3 (7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m or 7:30 - 11:30 a.m. for preschool).
- Please note the first week of the program will run Wednesday and Thursday ONLY
(7/5-7/6).
Stipend: $20 an hour, $1,920 total
