Position Overview. Malden Catholic seeks a strategic, mission-driven Director of Athletics to lead a comprehensive and rapidly growing athletic program. This senior leadership role oversees all aspects of athletics across grades 7 through 12, including staffing, scheduling, compliance, facilities, and program development. The Director will play a central role in shaping student experience, strengthening program alignment, and guiding the continued evolution of athletics at Malden Catholic.
Key Responsibilities
•Oversee all aspects of the athletic program, including personnel, operations, and logistics
•Supervise and evaluate coaches and athletic staff
•Develop schedules for varsity, junior varsity, freshman, and middle school teams
•Ensure compliance with MIAA, league, and school regulations
•Manage facilities, equipment, and game day operations
•Develop and manage the athletic budget
•Collaborate with school leadership on planning, policy, and strategic initiatives
•Support admissions, marketing, and community engagement efforts
•Develop and oversee intramural and summer athletic programs
•Manage athletics social media accounts and team-specific accounts

•Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
•Coaching experience preferred
•Broad knowledge of athletics and student development
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills

•Ability to balance strategic vision with hands on leadership
